With its pristine maritime environment and ancient, gravely-loam soils, Coward & Black Vineyards has more than 16 acres of established plantings, just minutes from some of Margaret River’s finest producers – including Vasse Felix, Howard Park and Cullen’s.
Coward & Black’s stunning rammed-earth cellar door facility is set inside the region’s most innovative tasting centre - Margaret River Providore – where it shares centre stage with organic vegetable gardens and olive groves, an amazing cafe, take-home foods and modern home-wares.
Free wine tastings are available seven days a week from 9-5 and visitors can enjoy a glass of wine with lunch or simply sit and enjoy the natural bushland and vineyard views.
As a boutique winery, Coward & Black’s commitment is first and foremost to fruit quality and traditional wine-making, producing premium quality wines with complex varietal characters.
The varieties grown on the expansive rural property include Cabernet, Shiraz, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Semillon.

Awesome location for browsing taste wines, jams & sauces
Awesome place to browse and taste wines, jams, sauces etc. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The tasting dishes are well kept and clean, although they can't help it that some people double dip.It's an enjoyable and relaxing place to be and I've never had a bad experience here. It's right next to the Margaret River Chocolate factory which is an added bonus!
Must try the jams they have as the quality is superb and a lot better than the ones at the supermarkets.
Better Than Most
Surrounded by so much competition in the area, this winery and gourmet food cellar door is a cut above the others. As well as the wines you can sample the various jams, spices and treats which makes it much more inter-active for all. A real surprise package set in beautiful surrounds.
