Waves of Wine prides itself on showcasing the boutique, "hidden jem" wineries that are littered throughout the Margaret River Wine Region.
We believe wine should be enjoyed by everyone, and our tours are designed to break down some of the more intimidating aspects of the wine tasting experience. Every tour will develop your own wine knowledge, and help uncover what makes quality wine.
Waves of Wine’s tours are best way to experience everything the Margaret River has to offer. Cruising through the vines we guarantee a great day out, meeting new friends and learning the processes that produce Margaret River’s special wines.

Cancellation Policy

We understand plans can change, so here are our conditions and policies

By booking with Waves of Wine, you agree to the following terms & conditions:

Contact Details
We will send a text message to the mobile number you provided when making your booking with your exact pick-up time, no later than 6pm the day before your tour. Please ensure your contact details are correct when making your booking. If your details change prior to your tour, please let us know.

Contact us on +61 468 740 047, either on Whatsapp or by sms if you do not get you confirmation message.

Cancellation policy
•Group tour bookings cancelled by the customer, outside of 72 hours prior to the tour will incur a 10% administration/merchant fee.
•Group tour bookings cancelled by the customer within 72 hours of the tour departing, and ‘no shows’, will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.
•Private Charters require a $300 non-refundable deposit to secure the vehicle. Payment is required to be made via Visa or MasterCard. Private Charters cancelled within seven (7) days of the tour will be charged the full quoted price of the service, excluding lunch and tasting fee costs.
•Waves of Wine reserves the right to cancel a tour at any time, including during the tour, due to aggressive or unsocial behaviour, or if a customer displays signs of intoxication.
•Waves of Wine reserves the right to cancel the tour at our discretion due to factors beyond our control, including not reaching minimum passenger numbers, whereupon customers will receive a full refund.
•Waves of Wine reserves the right to cancel a tour if passengers are intoxicated prior to pick-up from their accommodation, day of tour and will be treated as a ‘no show’.

Processing Refunds
Any applicable refunds will be processed by the same method of payment.

Dietary Requirements
Waves of Wine agrees to relay dietary requirements that you have provided, to the venues visited on tour. Please ensure you tell us accurate dietary requirements during the booking process. If you have not provided us with your dietary requirements in advance, our lunch venues may not be able to cater for you. It regardless remains the sole responsibility of the customer to confirm directly with venue staff, on the day, that the contents of any food and drink offered is suitable and safe for the customer to consume.

Important: whilst every effort is made to prevent cross-contamination within restaurant kitchens, no venues we visit on our tours can 100% guarantee that their meals are 100% allergen-free due to meals being prepared in the same kitchens, and cooked in the same ovens, as is industry standard.

Responsible Consumption of Alcohol

Tour guests should not drink alcohol 8 hours prior to tour.

Consuming alcohol is not permitted on vehicles.

If any passengers are showing signs of intoxication at any stage of the tour, they may be asked to take a break, or in extreme cases, be removed from the tour.

Those who are tasting alcohol must be 18+ years of age. Passengers that endanger or disrupt customers, winery employees or other of the public will be warned and if necessary, removed from the tour. Waves of Wine visits small boutique family run wineries and customers need to respect the venues by behaving in a satisfactory manner.

Waves of Wine vehicles are charter licenced. Just like other public transport vehicles, heavy fines apply for drinking in or beside the bus. Wineries and breweries often only have a ‘Producer Only License’, which mean that alcohol can only be consumed in specific designated areas at each premises. Waves of Wine reserves the right to refuse pick-up of passengers, if it is clear they are already intoxicated prior to the commencement of the tour.


Communication Issues
Often guests within the region do not have access to mobile phone signal, so please phone us from a land line number the evening or morning of tour, if you realise you have no mobile reception.

Pickup Locations for Daily Tours
Complimentary pick-up is included within:
•Margaret River town and surrounds
•Cowaramup and surrounds
•Gracetown and surrounds
•Prevelly and surrounds
Pickups can be accommodated outside these areas, however a $40 out of area surcharge will be issued due to the distances involved.

Pick up times for Daily Tours
As we receive a lot of late bookings, it is difficult to plan an itinerary in advance. We will send you a text message by 6pm, the day prior to your tour, to confirm your pick-up address and your exact pick-up time. If you make your booking the night before or morning of your tour, please expect a sms shortly after 8am on the day of your tour. Pick up times are dependent on location, group size and other varying factors including winery requirements and seasonal activity (i.e.: peak season tours may need to start earlier to allow for possible delays throughout the day). Please keep your mobile phones on the day before the tour, so we can contact you regarding tour details.

Please note: Pick-ups that are well out of the way from the central Margaret River region (i.e.: Witchcliffe, Rosa Brook, and other places) may be much earlier, so please be prepared for an early collection.

Minimum Passenger Numbers
We may require at least four (4) passengers to operate our tours, or eight (8) passengers on public holidays. Whilst your tour booking is confirmed at the time of payment, please be aware that if, in the extremely rare circumstance, we don’t achieve our minimum passenger numbers, your tour may be cancelled. We will give you as much notice as possible and rest assured, we’ll do what we can to ensure you don’t go home without a taste of the Margaret River Wine Region.

Tour Changes
In the rare circumstance that Waves of Wine is unable to offer the itinerary advertised, an alternative itinerary will be offered to you. If you are not satisfied with the new offering and a solution cannot be found, your booking will be cancelled, and you will be provided with a full refund.

For example; If one of our regular lunch venue is unavailable, we will offer an alternative, however we may not be able to provide the Blind Tasting Experience at the replacement venue. In this case, we may offer a complimentary cheese platter at another venue, or other similarly valued product.

Passenger Safety
Passengers are fully responsible for their own safety during their wine tour. Waves of Wine and the venues that you visit on tour are not liable for any irritations or other medical condition related reactions that you may experience from wine or other food and beverages that you consume during or after the tour. Waves of Wine is also not liable for any other injuries or reactions incurred for any other activity, e.g. vineyard walks, foot stomping etc..

Vehicle Damage/soilage
Should a vehicle be damaged or soiled by a passenger and professional cleaning, repairs or maintenance is required to return the vehicle to its prior condition, the full charge of these costs, plus an additional 25% administration fee, and any additional ‘loss of business’ costs incurred from vehicles not being available to service future clients, may be charged to the passenger who made the booking for the group that caused the damage.

Severe Weather Cancellations
Waves of Wine reserve the right to cancel a tour at our discretion due to factors beyond our control at any time, which may include:

•Vehicle failure
•Bushfire
•Severe weather warnings
•Other extreme weather conditions

Whilst this is a very rare circumstance, and our vehicles are extremely well maintained, we will not put the safety of our staff or customers in jeopardy. Please keep your mobile phones on, the days prior to your tour so we can contact you regarding these developments.

Additional Requirements
We recommend smart casual attire. It is also recommended to bring a re-useable water bottle, especially during the hot summer months. Water bottles can be topped up at all venues, free of charge. Your body will thank you!
