Truly superb museum
Accessible by public transport or $9 all day car parking. The curators here think carefully about their exhibits and they’re world class! I’ve been to the Vikings, Antartica, Sharks and most recently, Lego Brickmasters. Affordable entry and excellent kids activities during school holidays. The permanent exhibits are both interesting and interactive. The building itself is beautiful and the views are stunning. Take time to be outside too, the names of the migrants who passed through are all recorded - you may find your relatives!

The museum is beautifully presented, very tidy & clean, staff are very friendly, the cafe & food was very good and very, very interesting! Plus there is great activities for the kids! I like all the links to our history and seeing the Ameica's Cup.

Great venue for all ages!
Love the Lego shipwreck brick-work.
A lookout window to see the parked submarine?
We enjoyed the supplied costume for the titanic photobooth?
Get to meet the shipwreck curator Dr Ross Anderson for diving tips and treats, and some storytelling at the theatre.
