The Gerald Apartment Hotel

A valid credit or debit card is required to guarantee a reservation.
Unless alternative payment arrangements have been approved by the Hotel, accommodation charges may be processed to the nominated card on the morning of arrival in accordance with the conditions of the reservation.
*Identification and Check-In Requirements
For security purposes, all guests checking in must present physical photographic identification, such as a current driver's licence or passport.
Digital identification, screenshots or photographs of identification are not accepted.
The name on the identification must correspond with the reservation unless prior arrangements have been approved by the Hotel.
The Hotel may decline check-in where satisfactory identification, payment or the required security pre-authorisation cannot be provided.
*Security Pre-Authorisation
A valid credit or debit card is required at check-in for a security pre-authorisation.
The standard pre-authorisation amounts are:
•$250 – Classic and Deluxe room types
•$500 – Luxury room types, including the Presidential Suite
The Hotel does not accept cash bonds or cash deposits in place of the required card pre-authorisation.
A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold against available funds and is not ordinarily processed as a charge.
Following check-out, the Hotel will release the pre-authorisation where no amount is properly payable under these Terms and Conditions. The time taken for funds to become available again is determined by the guest's bank or card provider and is outside the Hotel's control.
Unless otherwise specified (eg Non-refundable rates), cancellations will need to be received by The Gerald Apartment Hotel at least 72 hours prior to arrival date to avoid paying a cancellation charge equivalent to one nights accommodation fee which may be processed through to your credit card to the value equal to 1 nights room rate. All no-show rooms will be charged for the first nights accommodation.
