Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Saturday, 8:30am to 1:00pm.


Once you have checked in with our office, you will throw on a high visibility vest and safety glasses, making you ready to go and experience a tour of Australia’s largest open pit gold mine. You will be visitor inducted to the KCGM Super Pit on our way to the site, once past the boom gates you will view the mine site offices and structures before going along to be amazed by the size of the 793C dump trucks as well as a number of other machinery as we travel along the haul roads.The view of the Super Pit from Harvey Hut and other lookouts will take your breath away as you see the contrast of old miner’s workings, with the old shafts visible and view the modern mining machinery working in the pit. After having your neck turned this way and that and you have filled up your memory card, it is time to return back. You will find that something unique to take home from our gift shop, we have a selection of Kalgoorlie and Australian themed souvenirs to go along with our gold products and art work.

Tours usually departs Monday to Saturday, and some Sundays and Public Holidays, subject to availability. Tour departures are subject to minimum tour passenger numbers and weather conditions. Children under 4 years of age are not permitted on tour due to safety regulations. You must be checked in at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure.
