Description

Old Broome Guesthouse is a stylish, tranquil home in the heart of the older part of town. Designed to work with the tropical climate, it makes the most of the breezes, with gardens and water features to create a serene atmosphere.

Accommodation is in four double rooms, each with an open air bathroom, private courtyard and garden of tropical fruits and flowers. A spacious undercover central deck area and sitting room create a comfortable venue for business meetings or social gatherings.

The building has been designed to give guests both privacy and spaces for socialising.

The four suites are stylishly furnished and the private bathrooms open onto tropical fruit-and-flower courtyard gardens. Guests also have a view of the garden from their own private sitting areas. Each bedroom has a refrigerator, coffee and tea making facilities, a television and DVD player, data point for the internet, a writing table and ample cupboard space for personal belongings.

Guests can meet and relax on the large, open deck area or in the comfortable living room, which is also a pleasant space for prearranged meetings, workshops or social gatherings. Continental breakfasts are available to guests at any time from Guest House kitchen. There are a number of good restaurants in the neighbourhood, or an in-house evening meal can be provided by prior arrangement..

A shaded swimming pool set in a palm garden is the perfect place to relax on a hot day.

Location and Environs Old Broome Guesthouse is conveniently located close to a wide range of services, points of cultural interest and fascinating landscape features. A short walk along Walcott Street is the heart of what used to be the European residential quarters in Broome’s pearling heyday; several of the grand old houses have been renovated and are still in use. Within easy walking distance is Town Beach, a special place to swim on high tide and a favourite meeting place for people in the neighbourhood. An evening craft and food market is held in the foreshore park at the time of the full moon, from where visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of the moon rising over the mangroves and Roebuck Bay.

The Guesthouse is close to a number of restaurants, bars, art galleries, liquor and food outlets, as well as banks, the public library and the local museum. The surrounding area is quiet and residential.
