This area is a favourite haunt of the Rock Parrot. The Cape is an excellent place to go sea birding in winter. Southern and Northern Giant–winged Petrel, Cape and Great–winged Petrel, Black-browed, Shy and Yellow-nosed Albatross, Wilson’s Storm-Petrel and Australian Gannet have all been sighted here!

The small Islands just off the coast are reserves for breeding sea birds such as Little Penguin, Flesh-footed and Little Shearwaters and Bridled and Crested Terns, which all form colonies here.

Great views & cheap entry!
The views were fantastic. Have to pay entry which isn't much and totally understandable. You do get a self guided tour and learn a lot about the history of the lighthouse. Nice little cafe too on the way out. Definately recommend if your in the area!

A revisit well worth going!
This was our second visit although first 5 years ago. I am pleased to say that nothing has changed and it's just as lovely as I remembered. We had a guided tour of the lighthouse and our guide was 1st class. The views from the top was fantastic. The cafe was very good and had a good selection of pies. Would certainly recommend a visit and guided tour.
Fantastic views
We visited the lighthouse and took the self guided audio tour. Great views and great learning of the early days. We took a picnic and spent an enjoyable afternoon on the lighthouse grounds. Worth a visit.
