A standout
Visiting Woolleen Station is a true, stand out experience. Owners Francis and David are amazing people who are continuously willing to step outside the norm. Their choices to rehabilitate the magnificent natural environment of the Murchison are exemplary.... allowing everyone to fully grasp its awesome beauty and vastness.

Beautiful experience
One of the best tourism experiences I've ever had. Such a different Australia. David and Frances give you a personal introduction to the landscape, the homestead, the community and the lifestyle. It's not bush, it's not gorges, it's the complex interplay of rangelands, granite, wildlife, aboriginal and european intervention and the consequences. David's passion for the regeneration of native grasses is infectious. Frances is charming, intelligent and excitable; like a character in a novel. Quite unlike any other tourism experience. Highly, highly recommended.

Fabulous Stay
We stayed in one of two quite separate guesthouses at Wooleen. The accommodation was terrific - and plenty of room for 2 couples. There is a veranda around 3 sides which gives you different perspectives on the property. David and Frances continue to create a unique environment and it is well worth a visit. Roads in and out are very good - we were driving an AWD. Walking trails are marked out clearly to assist you wandering around and experiencing the property. A camping area is also available and sits on the Murchison River. Very peaceful. We absolutely LOVED it.
