Best value!
Stayed in a shoebox room for a week and the service, location and price was all worth 5 stars. For it's price, it's well worth staying. It also has cute decorations on the wall. It has a lot of character and is rather quiet during the week

A great place in Albany
6 degree hotel is in the center of town the rooms are large motel style behind the main hotel and parking right in front of your door. the rooms are family size with a king size bed (very comfortable) and two bunk beads. It has a fridge, microwave, toaster and the usual Kettle for tea and coffee. The food served in the hotel is very good , they are large servings at a reasonable price. The entertainment was great Saturday night the Blues club gave a great performance and on Sunday there was a country singer with his guitar in the pub

Great little harbour view room
I booked the 'harbour view shoebox' room at last minute for one night. Nicely refurbished room with wardrobe, fridge, TV, bedside table, heater and mostly importantly a comfy double bed! Great use of space to make a cosy little budget hotel room. Shared bathrooms (cubicles as opposed to actual bathroom) down the hall. I stayed Saturday night, there is a DJ playing in the pub but I slept through no problem, you can clearly hear the music in the room but it's not excessive. Light sleepers probably wouldn't like it though.
