Your guide will lead you to the top of the tower, where a vast seascape will unfold before you. Be awed by the crashing waves and the wilderness of the landscape. A new Interpretive Centre, housed in one of the original lighthouse keepers' cottages, celebrates the history and lives of the numerous lighthouse keepers who were custodians of this rugged coastline. Using artefacts and stories, interactive technology and a large-scale animated film, visitors can discover fascinating insights into the lives of the men, women and children who once lived at the tallest lighthouse in mainland Australia. Visitors can also enjoy a coffee or delicious light refreshments in the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse Cafe.

This area is a favourite haunt of the Rock Parrot. The Cape is an excellent place to go sea birding in winter. The small Islands just off the coast are reserves for breeding sea birds such as Little Penguin, Flesh-footed and Little Shearwaters and Bridled and Crested Terns, which all form colonies here.

Great views & cheap entry!
The views were fantastic. Have to pay entry which isn't much and totally understandable. You do get a self guided tour and learn a lot about the history of the lighthouse. Nice little cafe too on the way out. Definately recommend if your in the area!

A revisit well worth going!
This was our second visit although first 5 years ago. I am pleased to say that nothing has changed and it's just as lovely as I remembered. We had a guided tour of the lighthouse and our guide was 1st class. The views from the top was fantastic. The cafe was very good and had a good selection of pies. Would certainly recommend a visit and guided tour.

Fantastic views
We visited the lighthouse and took the self guided audio tour. Great views and great learning of the early days. We took a picnic and spent an enjoyable afternoon on the lighthouse grounds. Worth a visit.
