CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
Australian Pinnacle Tours (Passenger Transport Services Pty Ltd) reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions. Components of trips are weather dependant and Australian Pinnacle Tours (Passenger Transport Services Pty Ltd) cannot be held liable if trip components are not available on the day of travel. Australian Pinnacle Tours (Passenger Transport Services Pty Ltd) can not guarantee pick up or drop off times and is not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services or any associated costs resulting from such delays. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage. The Aboriginal components of our tours are subject to cultural conditions and openings and access determined by state government directives. Participants may be absent due to cultural commitments with minimal prior notification and Australian Pinnacle Tours (Passenger Transport Services Pty Ltd) reserves the right to amend the itinerary in these circumstances with no obligation to refund or direct substitution of activity. COVID-19 related Government directives are Force Majeure.

LIABILITY
Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our passengers, Australian Pinnacle Tours (Passenger Transport Services Pty Ltd) cannot be held liable for any damage, injury, or loss of any kind caused by or resulting from any act or omission by its employees, agents or contractors. Passengers should note that adventure travel involves a higher than normal risk and a signed release may be required from all participants before departure. Australian Pinnacle Tours (Passenger Transport Services Pty Ltd) also assumes no responsibility for any act of negligence, act or omission whatsoever by any company whose services are used as part of packages provided, including but not limited to activity and accommodation providers.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to the extensive organisation involved with touring, a strict cancellation fee will be applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance to cover against such charges. Once a booking is made the following cancellation fees will apply:

Day Tours and Short Break Adventures
25% deposit confirms tour with full payment required 30 days before departure.

Cancellation Fees Day Tours

30+ days prior to departure; no fee payable

6 – 29 days prior to departure; no fee payable

5 – 3 days prior to departure; 50% of total price

Within 2 days (48 hours) of departure; 100% of total price

Cancellation Fees Short Break Tours

30+ days prior to departure; 10% of total price

16 – 29 days prior to departure; 25% of total price

15 – 6 days prior to departure; 50% of total price

Within 5 days of departure; 100% of total price

If you fail to join a tour or join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no tour refund can be made. The above cancellation fees are in addition to fees which may be levied by accommodation house properties, travel agents or third party tour and transport operator cancellation fees.

Amendments to Bookings

Amendment Fees Day Tours
If you wish to transfer from one trip to another or transfer your booking to a third party you must notify us at least 6 days prior to the proposed departure date. A fee of AU$50 per person per change may apply (in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators). If you notify us less than 6 days prior to the proposed departure date the refund policy applicable to cancellations will apply.

Amendment Fees Short Break Tours (tours of 5 days or less in duration)
If you wish to transfer from one trip to another or transfer your booking to a third party you must notify us at least 30 days prior to the proposed departure date. A fee of AU$100 per person per change may apply (in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators). If you notify us less than 30 days prior to the proposed departure date the refund policy applicable to cancellations will apply. Transfers to a third party are only permitted where the transferee meets all the requirements in relation to the trip, and transfers to another departure can only be made to a departure within the current validity period.

Other Change/Amendment Fees for all Tours
Amendments to any other arrangements made in conjunction with your trip may incur an AU$100 administration fee per booking per change. This fee is in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators or airlines. No amendments are permitted to your booking within 7 days of departure. You are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees. If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services.

Cancellation by Australian Pinnacle Tours
We may cancel a trip at any time up to 28 days before departure. We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or alternatively receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights. Please note that different cancellation conditions may apply to some Day Tours and Short Break Adventures – please ask your booking consultant for details.

CHILD POLICY
Child fares are available on most tours for passengers aged between 4 and 12 years inclusive. Infants (0-3 yrs) incur a fee, food is not included. Please check the notes of each tour to see if infants are not recommended for the tour. At all times, Australian Pinnacle Tours (Passenger Transport Services Pty Ltd) reserves the right to not accept children on tours due to safety concerns.

Please note that, for safety reasons, infants (aged 0–3 years) are not permitted to participate in the 4WD portion of any tour, including the Pinnacles Desert & 4WD tour or the Lancelin 4WD Sand Dunes Adventure. Children are not allowed to sit on their parents’ laps, and all children under the age of seven should be seated away from the front two rows of the vehicle where possible. Child car seats or restraints are not available for 4WD vehicles.

Please also note, for safety reasons, that the Oliver Hill Guns and Tunnels Tours on Rottnest Island (including the Grand Island Tour of which the Oliver Hill Guns and Tunnels tour is an inclusion) do not permit the carrying of children except for small infants in baby carriers (which allow the accompanying adult to have both hands free for the railings in the tunnels). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted to run ahead. This is a physically demanding 45-minute tour with approximately 700 metres walking and 240+ uneven steps (equivalent to an 8-storey climb). There are no rest stops and no backtracking once inside. The tour takes place in enclosed tunnels with some low ceilings, uneven surfaces, and other trip hazards.
