Overview
Discover a remarkable journey through motoring history at Motor Museum of Western Australia, nestled in the scenic surrounds of Whiteman Park, just a short drive from Perth. Here, you’ll find one of the country’s most impressive collections of cars and motorcycles, spanning from the early 1900s right up to the present day—all under one roof.
When you arrive, expect a warm welcome from passionate volunteers who bring the museum’s stories to life. You’ll be surrounded by beautifully restored classics, rare vehicles, and icons of Australian motorsport, including a Daniel Ricciardo’s winning 2014 Red Bull RB10. The museum is open daily from 10am to 4pm (closed Christmas Day), with affordable entry for families and special discounts for RAC (WA) members.
When you’re here, you’ll feel the thrill of discovery as you explore two purpose-built buildings filled with more than 200 vehicles and over 15,000 scale models.
Looking to learn a little more? Enhance your visit by joining a guided tour—included in your entry—at 11am or 2pm. Led by knowledgeable volunteers, these 45-minute tours offer fascinating insights into the collection and its unique connection to Western Australia’s automotive heritage.
Highlights include the ultra-rare 1974 Leyland Force 7 Coupe (one of only ten in the world), a 1912 Model T Ford, and a Phantom 6 Rolls Royce. Every vehicle has a story, and many have a special link to our local history.
Before you leave, make sure to take in our large scale mural, our tribute to Western Australian motoring legends, found on the Northern exterior wall of the museum.
