The best of country hospitality
An Australian farmstay experience with helpful, friendly & welcoming hosts.

Accommodation is a homely but very comfortable 2 bedroom self contained cottage with full kitchen facilities.

Great location to relax away from city life. Close to an array of local attractions - Porongorups & local wineries on the doorstep 30 minutes to the coast at Denmark or Albany.

Amazing bird life - sit at the dining table and watch the many water birds on the ephemeral lake outside the window.

Thoroughly recommended.

Peace and quiet
We are based in Devon, United Kingdom and we have been travelling to Australia for
2 months in our winter for a few years now.
We found this gem on our first visit to Western Australia and we enjoyed it so much
that we have now returned on 6 further occasions. The cottage has all the facilities
that we would expect and the hosts Beverley and his wife Kathy cannot do enough for us and
they have now become firm friends. We made full use of the 2 bedrooms last year
when we celebrated our Golden Wedding there with our son and his wife.
The cottage is within easy reach of Albany with all its beaches and Denmark and
Walpole are also near.
The Porongurup Range is also nearby and there are shops at the local town of Mount
Barker.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Coot Farm to anyone who likes peace
and quiet with the option of the delights of Albany and the Southern Ocean.

Great stay at Coot Farm
If you want home style comfort, this is the place. Two generous bedrooms with double beds, well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, and a great location. Tranquil setting and generous hosts in Bev and Kathy. We had a great day in the Porongurup National Park, visited the Sandelwood Factory, and it was close enough to Albany to be convenient. We wish we had had more time to stay longer. One of our most enjoyable stays.
