Description
Six rammed earth chalets, (each two bedroom, two bathroom) look over an 18 acre lake, next to forests of karri, marri and jarrah.
The spacious chalets are recently renovated with high quality kitchens and comfortable beds that should ensure you will sleep soundly at night. They are well appointed and all feature original art work by artist Bernadette Curtin.
All chalets have reverse air conditioning, large televisions with free to air satellite service and DVD players. There is lots of room to relax on leather sofas in the sitting rooms or on the chalet terrace overlooking the lake. All rooms in the chalet open onto the terrace.
A laundry has 2 front loading washing machines, 2 condenser dryers and a laundry sink for use by guests.
Walk on trails following the Bramley Brook through karri forest or take the path around the lake next to horses and sheep grazing on the 350 acre property. Enjoy a swim in the lake, play tennis on our two plexipave courts or have a game of golf on the 9 hole course. Pack your pushbikes - the Wadandi track is minutes away. Set your own pace - this is a tranquil place but with very active bird and kangaroo populations!
Groups are our specialty. Tanah Marah is ideal for weddings, family get togethers, corporate events and many other types of gatherings with a commercial kitchen and venue area available for lease. Cancellation Policy
We understand plans can change, so here are our conditions and policies
By paying a deposit you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
At the time of booking a deposit of 50% is required.
A fee of $30 will be applied to all cancellations. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival will forfeit the deposit unless we are able to re-book the accommodation
Privacy:
Your privacy is important to us. We will collect and hold personal information for the purposes of communication regarding your stay or for promotional activities. You must advise us if you do not wish communication to be sent to you after your stay.
General:
The chalets are non smoking areas.
Guests must ensure the safety of themselves and others at all times on the property. You must be aware that there are hazards in the environment that require children to be appropriately supervised. All those on the property should take appropriate precautions to ensure safe enjoyment of the activities and facilities. Use of cars should be kept to a minimum and drivers must observe the one way road system and drive slowly.
Guests may wish to bring their own kayak or boat (non motorised only!). We recommend the use of flotation devices for anyone who is not a strong swimmer if using the lake.
Please leave the chalets in a condition similar to how you found them with dishes washed. A cleaning charge may be applied if the chalets are not left in a reasonable state. Please report any damage and be aware that excessive damage may result in a charge for replacement or repair.

Directions
Tanah Marah is halfway between Cowaramup and Margaret River.
Drive south for 6.6 kilometres through Cowaramup along Bussell Highway, heading to Margaret River. Tanah Marah Road is on the left hand side. Follow the road for nearly three kilometres to the entrance to Tanah Marah on your left.
Margaret River is 6.6 kilometres from the Tanah Marah turnoff heading south on Bussell Highway.
The closest beaches are at Prevelly - 18km and Gracetown - 23km from Tanah Marah, or a 20 minute drive.

Didn't want to leave
This is by far my favorite place we have stayed in Margaret River. We stayed 2 nights and really wish we stayed longer. Perfect for a winter break but would love to go back for summer experience too. The Chalets, the lakes, the nature walks, the views - everything was absolutely perfect! Couple with 3.5 year old, she loved seeing the ducks horses and sheep along with the forest walks and around the lake.Wedding at Tanah Marah
Outstanding bush retreat, magnificent tranquility. The wedding took place in the Forrest, a gravel walk from resort...perfect for agricultural couple and rural family who had stayed days before the wedding in the cottages. Family staff at reception were so efficient, catered food to die for. Verandah and dancefloor, a picture, round tables aplenty. A wonderful complete package for a wedding and reception.A GEM!
A family of 2xadults and 2xkids (11,8). Stayed at this beautiful place for 3 relaxing nights. The chalet is immaculate! Plenty to keep the kids busy. Golf (18hole...we managed 6), bush walk, tennis, gym, library, chasing sheep and keeping up with Pandora, the gatekeeper of Tanah Marah! ? Kids loved hanging out with her. If you love photography, this is also a place for you. A shout out to Linda and Rory for being such great hosts. Thank you very much! Will be recommending TM to all friends and family.
