Up Close and Local Tours offer highly personalised, boutique food and wine tours in Perth for both local food and wine-lovers, and travellers looking for an authentic wine tour experience. Get VIP treatment as Up Close and Local make it easy to uncover some of the hidden gems that visitors (and even some fellow locals) would never otherwise find.
All tours are fully guided by one of their passionate and knowledgeable wine guides, who have an internationally recognised (WSET) accreditation in wine education, and know the Swan Valley and Bickley Valley inside out! With a business ethos of supporting local, they work together with the producers and winemakers to ensure that every guest gets the best possible experience each and every day - often this means access to experiences that are not available to the general public.
The Swan Valley is WA's oldest wine region and has some spectacular wines on offer, and for those who are a little more adventurous, Up Close and Local also offer tours to the beautiful Bickley Valley wine region as well as one day and multi-day private tours (by appointment) to the famous Margaret River wine region.
With so many regions, and so many cellar doors, a little local knowledge goes a long way!
Cancellation Policy
We understand plans can change, so here are our conditions and policies
Full payment is required to confirm your booking.
• Cancellation between 48 hours and 10 days before the tour date - 50% of the booking value will be returned
• Cancellation less than 48 hours before the start of the tour - 0% of the booking value will be returned
COVID-19 Cancellations: Where a customer cancels due to Government restrictions that are either not removed as expected extended or reimposed the customer will be offered a refund or credit note (to be used at a later time) at the absolute discretion of Up Close and Local Tours. The operator reserves the right to withhold some monies to cover administrative expenses and other losses dependent on when notice of cancellation is given.

Fabulous 1/2 Day in the Bickley Valley
What a fantastic tour! Thanks to Paul for a great day out in the Perth Hills visiting some fantastic destinations I never would have found on my own. There was something for everyone in our group of 6. At one stage I think we were all singing in the bus! Fantastic to visit some wineries we never knew existed and I really appreciated the focus on smaller boutique wineries rather than the larger ones I've visited in the past.
