Service above and beyond
My husband and I were doing a hiking tour which included a three course meal at Lamonts. We were not staying in the resort attached but at apartments down the road. The day we were booked in to have our meal my husband injured himself. I went to cancel the meal but Kate Lamont offered to place the mal o plates and a tray as take away. I placed the order and came back an hour later. We had a beautiful steak with truffle butter, fresh salad and crispy chips. Not only that but Kate recommended a short hike the next day. Can’t thank her enough.

For dinner the following night, I had the halloumi and cappelletti pasta with eggplant as an entree. The dish was light and delicious and full of flavour, if a little on the oily side. W had the whiting with fennel salad - crisp goujons of battered whiting were nicely balanced with a zesty fennel salad. (Forgot to take pictures of these entrees!) For mains, we both had specials. W had the marron with pear and rocket salad - a generous serving of five mar
