Kooljaman at Cape Leveque offers the opportunity to explore and enjoy a remote wilderness environment 220km north of Broome, in an area of unrivalled physical beauty and uniqueness. With two outstanding beaches to choose from all our accommodations have easy beach access and most rooms have panoramic ocean views.
A $5 visitor fee per person is required when arriving at Kooljaman as a day visitors. Designed to capture the rugged natural character of the Kimberley region, we offer a variety of room types to suit all budgets, these include:
* Safari Tents - Fully self contained canvas tents on raised timber decking, comfortably furnished with en-suite bathroom
* Cabins Charming rustic log cabins self contained right by the beach
* En-suite Cabins larger than the log cabins self contained with their own bathroom
* Units Basic self-contained rooms ideal for families or groups
* Beach Shelters traditional palm frond shelters, with cold water shower, wood BBQ & picnic table
* Camping powered and unpowered campsites in a shady grassed camping area
Facilities include a cafe style restaurant with beautiful ocean views, a small general store, an indigenous gallery showcasing aboriginal art and artifacts, souvenir sales, day use beach shade shelters, snorkel equipment hire and a tour desk.
Enjoy tranquil beaches, excellent swimming, snorkeling, fishing, boat tours, bush tucker tours, Tag-along 4WD tours, & scenic flights over the Horizontal Waterfalls.

Minimum 2 Night Stay Hugely popular, these shelters are located near the waters edge. Ideal for those who enjoy a unique and private camping experience, with facilities close at hand. Constructed from bush poles and covered with a combination of thatching and palm fronds with a beach sand floor. Each shelter has a picinic table, fresh water shower, wood barbecue and shared ablution facilities nearby.

Our lovely campground has shady pergolas, ablutions, wood BBQs and a laundry. Some sites enjoy delightful views of the western beach. Power is limited and available for ONE camp fridge and lighting only. We are a wilderness campsite not a caravan park, and as such, we can only accept tents, camper trailers (not caravan style campers) and small campervans. No caravans or truck style campers.

Minimum 2 night stay. Not to be confused with traditional camping! These huge tents are built high on the hillside with unobstructed panoramic ocean views . Set up with resort style queen size beds and 2 singles, all tents have their own bathrooms/kitchenettes. Each tent has a huge jarrah deck, quality size fridge/freezer, and a gourmet gas barbeque on the veranda. Bath towels and bed linen provided. Some tents will sleep up to 5 guests with a trundle, please book these rooms direct with Reception.

These charming cabins are made from bush poles with a tin roof and opening shutters with toilet/shower facilities being shared between two cabins. Each cabin sleeps 4 people (1 queen bed & 2 singles) and feature open construction, some have ocean views. They have all of the facilities as listed for the Ensuite cabins with the exception of the private toilet & shower. Minimum 2 night stay.

Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will be charged for any accommodation that is not resold. If accommodation resold a 10% administration fee applies.
No refund for any cancellations within 48 hours
