Enjoy the peace and quiet and magnificent karri forest views Karri Hill Cottages are situated on one of the crossings of the Bibbulmun walk track - Schafer Hut is just 300m away - and the Munda Biddi mountain biking trail. The yearly Karri Cup Mountain bike race also goes past the gate. The property is surrounded by ...karri forest and offers magnificent views over the farm paddocks to the karri forest. The Double Kiln and the Single Kiln are 50s tobacco kilns converted to accommodation, so you are surrounded by history. There are 4 comfortable cottages. Each cottage offers self-catering accommodation and stove, oven and microwave are provided as well as a good variety of pots and pans to cook up whatever you have in mind. There is also a gas fired BBQ outside, which is for the use of all visitors. We love hiking and mountain biking ourselves and are happy to support hikers and bikers. You can borrow bikes and explore the bike trails. We can arrange free drop-off and pick-up for walkers. There is pot-belly stove heating in each cottage and there is mobile phone access by windows and verandahs in the cottages, as long as you are not with Optus. It is OK to bring your dog, as long as they do not go on the beds and furniture and do not present problems for the other visitors, e.g. barking. Bassett’s cottage has an enclosed outside area. Surrounded by farm land and looking out over majestic karri forest, the 4 cottages have a total of 8 bedrooms and provide the perfect destination for: Extended family groups ; Groups of friends ; Wild flower enthusiasts ; Hiking clubs ; Art and craft groups ; Bird watchers.
Located between Northcliffe and Pemberton, Karri Hill Cottages, previously named Watermark Kilns, provides you with comfortable budget accommodation. Whether you are a sole traveller, a couple, a larger family or a group with a special interest, you can come and relax here and enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm, surrounded by the mighty karri trees.
With the Munda Biddi biking trail going past the gate and the Bibbulmun walking track just metres away, you are in the perfect place to explore one of the most beautiful parts of the South West region.
In addition to offering accommodation, we can provide you with fresh fruit and vegies from our gardens. We are happy to support you with accommodation, supplies and transport when you walk the Bibbulmun Track or cycle the Munda Biddi. We are easy to find as the Bibbulmun Schafer hut is just 300 m away. Over 70 different bird species have been recorded on the property and in spring time, there are many orchids to be found.

The Single Kiln functions as a self-contained chalet-style unit with a queen size bed upstairs and an extra single bed. It is stylish and unique with beautiful views of paddocks framed by karri trees. Downstairs kitchen and bathroom are heated by the potbelly stove. There is tea and coffee, herbs etc. provided and the kitchen is equipped with everything, fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, pots, pans, plates etc. We provide a compost bucket and we hope that you will separate the compost, so that we can feed it to the worms, which then can help the garden produce more vegies and when we have surplus, we share it with our visitors. Non-Smoking indoors. Pets by arrangement only. Gas fired barbecue available. THERE IS NO TELEVISION.

Between Northcliffe and Pemberton, the Double Kiln is part of a group of 4 cottages : Karri Hill Cottages. Fantastic views over the paddocks and the karri forest beyond. It is the perfect building for a large family holiday or a get-together with a group of friends. The enormous dining room with its lovely wooden table can comfortably sit 14 guests and will give you memories of wonderful meals shared together as well as being the perfect place for getting out the board games and cards, whilst enjoying the cosy atmosphere created by the woodstove. It has a very well equipped kitchen with a fridge, freezer, gas stove and oven as well as a microwave and all the equipment to cater for a large group. There is tea and coffee, herbs etc. There are 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms as well as a sofa bed in the dining room. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite bathroom and its own potbelly stove. One upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed. The other bedroom has 2 king single beds and a bunkbed which has a double bed below and a single bed above. There is a second shower and separate toilet, leading off from the large laundry, which has a trough, washing machine, dryer and 2 additional washbasins. There is an outdoor BBQ which is supplied with wood, as well as a gas fired BBQ. A portable cot and highchair are available. We provide a compost bucket and we hope that you will separate the compost, so that we can feed it to the worms, which then can help the garden produce more vegies and when we have surplus, we share it with our visitors. It has a well equipped kitchen with a fridge - freezer, gas stove and oven as well as a microwave and all the pots and pans. There is tea and coffee, herbs etc. There is a separate dining room. There is 1 bathroom, which is also equipped with washing machine, dryer and laundry tub. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom is the sunroom and has its own entrance and 2 single beds. There is an outdoor BBQ which is supplied with wood, as well as a gas fired BBQ. A portable cot and highchair are available. We provide a compost bucket and we hope that you will separate the compost, so that we can feed it to the worms, which then can help the garden produce more vegies and when we have surplus, we share it with our visitors. This is the only cottage that has a TV and DVD player. Outside, there is an enclosed area, which makes this cottage particularly suitable if you want to bring your dogs. Dogs are welcome, as long as they respect the furniture, do not go on the beds, do not irritate the other guests or the farm animals.

Directions
Northcliffe is 12 km away. Take the Wheatley Coast Road and look for the signs for Watermark Kilns, which was the previous name. ( we have now changed it to Karri Hill Cottages, but signs are still in the making) . Turn into Hillbrook Rd. on your right and after 3 kms you will see a turnoff signposted for Watermark Kilns on Karri Hill Road and the cottages are just 200 m further.
To get here from Perth or Manjimup, make sure not to follow Google. It sends you on a difficult shortcut through the forest. Instead, take the Wheatley Coast Road and then look for the sign on Hillbrook Rd. However, this road goes in a loop and you want to take the second turn off for Hillbrook Road, which is some kms after Hillbrook Vineyards. Then it's easy, you will see a turnoff signposted for Watermark Kilns on Karri Hill Road and the cottages are just 200 m further.
