From the moment guests are welcomed aboard Three Islands Whale Shark Dive’s 17 metre vessel for a day of adventure with the whale sharks and marine life of Ningaloo Reef they can feel the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Specialising in whale shark snorkel and humpback whale swim tours, Three Islands operate the tours between March and October out of Exmouth on the stunning Ningaloo Reef, one of the few easily accessible places in the world where whale sharks appear in large numbers at predictable times. Few snorkelling experiences compare with the thrill of swimming alongside the biggest fish in the ocean or a mighty humpback whale.
From courtesy pick-up to drop off the tour includes everything – delicious morning tea, buffet lunch and afternoon platter, snorkel gear and wetsuits, assistance from friendly, supportive and experienced staff, free photos from your day, government fees, morning & afternoon reef snorkel, exclusive spotter plane to locate whale sharks with up to 6 hours’ flying time and, importantly, a safety support boat to assist swimmers if required. A free repeat tour is offered in the rare event that participants do not swim with a whale shark or get a partial refund!
Observers are also welcome aboard the modern, comfortable 17 metre vessel with its large shade deck area, perfect for aquatic activities.
Although the tour focus is on whale sharks, an amazing variety of seasonal marine life such as manta rays, turtles, dolphins, whales and even dugongs may be sighted during the cruise. Apart from the thrill of swimming with the world’s largest fish, the tour aims to educate passengers on the need to protect this threatened species so guests leave the tour with a better understanding of the whale sharks of Ningaloo Reef.

We understand plans can change, so here are our conditions and policies
CANCELLATIONS
Standard Terms for Groups of 1-4 -Cancellation up to 5 days before tour departure (0800 on tour date); 100% refundable of total tour price -Cancellation within 5 days but more than 48 hours before tour departure; 50% refundable of total tour price -Cancellation within 48 hours of tour departure or a ‘no show’ on the day; 0% refundable
Groups of 5-9 -Cancellation up to 5 days prior to tour departure; 100% refundable of total tour price -Cancellation within 5 days to 72 hours prior to tour departure; 50% refundable of total tour price -Cancellation less than 72 hours prior to tour departure; 0% refundable
Groups of 10 or more -Cancellation more than 14 full days prior to tour departure; 100% refundable of total tour price -Cancellation within 14 days but more than 5 days prior to tour departure; 50% refundable of total tour price -Cancellation within 5 days; 0% refundable
3 Islands reserves the right to cancel any tour if minimum passenger numbers are not obtained to run the tour viably. If this occurs either a full refund or an alternative date will be arranged with the passenger.
DATE CHANGES; Date changes allowable for groups of up to 4 prior to 72 hours before tour not within 72 hours. Groups 5-9 date changes allowable up to 5 days prior. Groups 10 or more up to 14 days prior.
A full refund will be given for tours cancelled due to bad weather minimum number policy or mechanical breakdown. Please see our website for full Terms and Conditions. Please note passengers joining the tour as snorkelers must be able to swim unassisted.

A once in a lifetime encounter
We had an unforgettable day with this company. The boat is spacious and comfortable and we were well looked after from the moment we stepped aboard.Chantelle, Amy and Sarah had us all organised with equipment before we'd even left the harbour and also provided clear instructions/information regarding the whales and protocol for interacting with them. Our skipper, Nos, was also very approachable and knowledgeable and all 4 crew worked as a very effective and efficient team.
The company provides plenty of food - morning/afternoon tea, lunch and a complementary beer/champagne to end the day. Water's available all day. There's plenty of shade on board and a dry storage box for your belongings. Unless you're into photography, there's no need to take a camera as Amy does an excellent job of providing high quality photos, which are then made available to you online as part of the day tour package.

Most surreal and special experience with 3islands
Me and my partner went on the Humpback Whale Tour yesterday and had one of the most special and surreal experiences of our lives. We saw turtles and dolphins and even got to swim with a whale shark. We had an incredibly interactive experience with the humpback whales when they swam right up to us! Our girls Chantelle, Sarah, and Aimee were quick to make sure we all enjoyed the experience while keeping us all safe at the same time. We could not recommend this tour more!! Big shout out to the three girls and Capitan Nos for making it such a great day for us! Yummy food and bubbles on the deck were just the Cherry on top of a perfect day!Best Day
We stayed in Exmouth a day longer to do this trip. Waiting for the day to arrive. We weren’t disappointed. The staff were young and enthusiastic. Helpful and encouraging. The whole day was amazing. It’s a smaller group on board the boat and that’s great. Believe me, you won’t miss anything that’s happening. We got to see whales, whale sharks and sharks. We saw the reef and snorkelled in a couples of places.It’s all a coin toss whether you get to see and swim with the whale sharks but if you do it’s a true life highlight. If you don’t they usually offer a discount for another trip.
