You will be visitor inducted to the KCGM Super Pit and view the mining and milling operations through the Fimiston Milling Plant from the safety of the Mine-Spec Bus. Be amazed by... the size of the 793 dump trucks as we travel along the haul roads on site with the trucks. Once you have checked in with our office, you will throw on a high visibility vest and safety glasses, making you ready to go and experience a tour of Australia’s largest open pit gold mine. You will be visitor inducted to the KCGM Super Pit on our way to the site, once past the boom gates you will view the mine site offices and structures before going along to be amazed by the size of the 793C dump trucks as well as a number of other machinery as we travel along the haul roads.The view of the Super Pit from Harvey Hut and other lookouts will take your breath away as you see the contrast of old miner’s workings, with the old shafts visible and view the modern mining machinery working in the pit. After having your neck turned this way and that and you have filled up your memory card, it is time to return back. You will find that something unique to take home from our gift shop, we have a selection of Kalgoorlie and Australian themed souvenirs to go along with our gold products and art work.
Tours usually departs Monday to Friday, and some Sundays and Public Holidays, subject to availability. Tour departures are subject to minimum tour passenger numbers and weather conditions. Children under 4 years of age are not permitted on tour due to safety regulations. You must be checked in at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure.

Best Tour Ever
We have just completed a 2.5 hour tour, The Open Pit and Milling Operation of the Super Pit. Our tour guide/bus driver, Wes, was a wealth of knowledge with facts and figures delivered with a splash of humour.The bus was modern and very comfortable and clean, first rate. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Kalgoorlie.

Absolutely fantastic tour! In all dealings with this company, every member of staff we came in contact with was very knowledgeable and helpful. The tour was informative and we all had so much fun (including my husband who was not overly sold in the idea doing the tour in the first place). Behind information on the tour, we also received a lot of reconditions that suited our family.Great tour!

Great day was had by all! We had family visiting for Christmas so we all went on the tour. Interesting, informative fun day our. Dan, our driver and tour guide really brought the day to life, kids really enjoyed themselves.
