Our bus driver and guide was a long time resident of Kalgoorlie and there wasn't much he didn't know about the town. His commentary was informative and full of little stories and anecdotes. This day tour is excellent to give you a good picture of Kalgoorlie. I think we visited almost every part of the town including the industrial section and also looked at the historical buildings in both Kalgoorlie and Boulder. We went to the Super Pit lookout, the Tourist Mine, the RFDS, and the Loopline Railway museum. A really good introduction into the history of Kalgoorlie and current mining industry.History and Heritage tour of Kalgoorlie
My wife and parents recently toured Kalgoorlie and did the History and Heritage day tour. We found the tour very informative from the old to the new Kalgoorlie, our driver Harry was fantastic. He looked after us and ensured we had a great experience, he was a credit to the company. My wife's mother left her jacket on the bus and Harry new we were departing Kalgoorlie on the Prospector the next morning (7:00am) so he arrived at our accommodation with her jacket at 6:30am. The tour ensured our short stay in Kalgoorlie was memorable with a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), we left with a much higher respect for the work the RFDS does. A visit to the Mining Hall of Fame, the superpit look out, Boulder Town Hall, the suburbs of Kalgoorlie and Boulder and of course the pubs. We saw a lot, learnt a lot and highly recommend the tour.
