Depart from our private marina in Westbay. Cruise through Hardy Inlet surrounded by wild bird flocks, snap the local dolphin pod that live wild in the river, bush walk, fish, see the bird sanctuary, unique wildflowers, uber-private Molloy Island, discover secret kayaking spots and float along 25 kms of National Park protected by a river reserve.

Your cruise will take you on a round trip to historic Alexandra Bridge and return. Base has loads of free, secure parking for cars, boats & caravans so you have peace of mind up the river. You can add a winery tour from mooring 17 or boat in to the Colour Patch jetty at the rivermouth, Self contained or catered options are all available

All our operations, vessels, moorings and Base are designed with the lightest possible footprint. Houseboat Base has been off grid for 19 years. We generate our own solar power and harvest our own rainwater. Anchors are not used for mooring up. The swing moorings mean there's no damage to the river banks or river bed and other river craft use them so its less impact all round! Our vessels create little wake, they are fully sealed and we have a strict "All Decks. Nothing Overboard" policy.

We supply the fully self contained houseboat with all your linen and a motorised dinghy. You supply all food, drinks and fishing gear. We have kayaks and stand up paddle boards for guests use.
