Gilgara has two types of accommodation:
GILGARA HOMESTEAD and
GILGARA GARDEN APARTMENTS
1) Gilgara Homestead offers country style shared accommodation in a traditional farm house. Each bedroom has a king bed and en-suite private bathroom and there are 5 bedrooms in total. The Homestead features a shared lounge room, reading/TV room and dining room and limited kitchen facilities.
When staying in the Homestead, you will come into contact with other guests and share some of the communal spaces.
For absolute privacy, we recommend our Garden Apartments.
2) Gilgara Garden Apartments offer spacious self-contained accommodation, in a modern, split level, loft style apartment with garden views. Each suite comes with a spa bath, king bed, lounge area, TV, DVD player and a fully equipped kitchenette for self catering.
Please note, we are non-intrusive hosts and make sure you have all you need prior to your arrival. With no restaurant on site or concierge service, we encourage you to utilise and enjoy all the local services on offer in this wonderful region!

The Garden Apartments are our deluxe rooms with king size bed, en suite shower and separate bath/spa, TV and DVD player, a living area and self-catering kitchenette facilities. They are private quarters and we ONLY permit 2 x persons per room. No children or a third person are permitted to stay on in the Apartments.

Our Homestead Bedrooms are furnished with deluxe king size beds. They feature an en suite bathroom, cosy feather pillows, doona, ceiling fan and reverse cycle air con. Twin Beds available in some rooms. Guest shared facilities within the main house: lounge room, reading room and dinning room with limited kitchen facilities. Max 2 x persons per room and we do not allow for children or infants or any third person for any reason.

Cancellation Policy; In order to secure your booking we require your credit card details. Your card will be charged and there is NO refund from 1 x week of your check in date.

Directions
From the Margaret River Visitor Centre drive north on Bussell Highway. Once past the bridge take the first road on the left (Carters Rd). Drive six kilometres to the end of Carters Road then turn left (South) onto Caves Road. Gilgara Retreat is a few metres from this corner on the right.

Modern Apartments
The Apartment was presented very well. It was modern, sleek, cosy, spacious etc. it had floor to ceiling windows which really let nature come inside.Peaceful & Relaxing
The view of the front of the property was stunning and relaxing. The fireplace was really nice. The room was clean and nice big bed. Lizzie was a friendly host”Good location
The apartment was modern and clean, stylish and really comfortable. We loved the layout with the little kitchen and lounge area. The location is almost amazing being less than 10 mins from Margaret River town right on caves road. For the area, it is also really good value for money.The only downside of the place is that the apartments were a little bare in terms of condiments and little extras. Also the main homestead was a bit under utilized and it felt there was massive potential to do more with it.
